Become a 4-H Volunteer
Adult volunteers play an important role in the 4-H program. Volunteers coordinate local commmunity clubs and help to plan and conduct local, regional, state and national 4-H events.
You may phone our 4-H Coordinator, Nicole Wright, at the WSU Asotin County Extension office at (509) 243-2009, to discuss becoming a volunteer.
All 4-H Youth Development Volunteers working with youth are required to complete the Washington State University New Volunteer Packet which includes:
- Asotin County Volunteer Application Form, Part A - Basic Application Form
- Asotin County Volunteer Application Form, Part B - Which Volunteer are YOU?
- Asotin County Volunteer Application Form, Part C - Code of Conduct
- Background Disclosure Information, Part D
- Two Personal Reference Forms, Part E
- Complete 4-H Leader Volunteer Training.
Complete and return your 4-H Volunteer application packet to the Asotin County Extension Office, P.O. Box 9, Asotin, WA 99402.

Barb Appleford
Barb Appleford is the 4-H General Organization Leader for Anatone 4-H Club. Barb has dedicated 27 years to the Asotin County 4-H Program. She also devotes a great deal of time to the livestock program and the Asotin County Fair. She continues to help your learn and develop through 4-H.
